Are you interested in becoming a Programme Facilitator for our course for parents?
Are you a family carer for a child who has a learning disability, global developmental delay or is on the Autism Spectrum?
Then you might be interested in becoming a Programme Facilitator for Early Positive Approaches to Support (E-PAtS)
E-PAtS is an 8-session group that provides sensitive support and information for families in the early years. All groups are delivered by an experienced professional and a family caregiver and cover:
- Accessing services and supports
- Emotional wellbeing and resilience for caregivers
- Supporting sleep for children
- Supporting communication
- Supporting skills development
- Positive approaches to behaviours that challenge
Facilitators will be paid to train and deliver the E-PAtS groups with support from others. Facilitators need to be able to commit to attending a 5-day training course (spread over different weeks) and delivering all 8 (2.5 hour) sessions for an E-PATS programme. Prior experience of supporting other families, facilitating groups or training is also helpful, but not essential.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a facilitator or have any questions please contact Valerie Lam, who will be happy to discuss this with you.
Applications can be made by writing a personal statement which must be received by the 2nd February 2018.
